The surrounding area

The hamlet of Sainte Colombe, just 10 minutes walk from our house, boasts two restaurants and the only wood fired bakery in the region.

Bedoin (3,5 kilometres away) is a delightful, thriving village; a mecca for cyclists drawn by the challenge of climbing the Mont Ventoux. There are excellent shops and services: butchers, bakers, two supermarkets, a newsagent, post office, library and tourist office as well as cafés and numerous restaurants. There is a chemist and a medical centre as well.

Monday is market day in Bedoin and the lively, colourful Provencal market is well worth a visit. There is a Farmers' market just out of the village most afternoons in the warmer months.

In addition, Bedoin has a large outdoor swimming pool and public tennis courts, places to rent bicycles, ride horses or play minigolf! And a pleasant lake for swimming and fishing awaits you at Mormoiron, 6 kilometres away.

The whole of the region is a walkers’ and cyclists’ paradise with well-marked trails and bicycle paths. We will be glad to help you plan your routes.
